About Toughened Glass

Toughened Glass (also known as Tempered Glass) is a type of safety glass that has been specially treated to increase its strength compared to regular glass. This process involves heating the glass to a high temperature (around 620–650°C) and then rapidly cooling it by blowing air onto its surface, a process known as quenching. This thermal treatment puts the outer surfaces of the glass under compression while the inner layers are in tension, making the glass much stronger and more durable.
